The NUCA Top Jobs competition recognizes outstanding projects that exhibit innovative solutions to challenging obstacles, while producing the highest quality results.
Contractors may enter construction projects in the following 10 categories:
- Electrical power
- Gas distribution
- Oil and gas pipelines
- Shale gas play
- Water or treatment plants
- Sanitary sewer collection/storm drains
- Water distribution
- Trenchless technologies
- Excavation/site development
Awarded to NUCA chapters that support their members, NUCA, the industry, and their communities with outstanding quality publications, services, and events. The categories include:
• Special Events
• Legislative/Government Relations
• Educational Programs
• Periodical Publications
• Community Service (William H. Clausen Awards)
• Outstanding Contribution by a Chapter President
• Outstanding Contribution by a Chapter Executive Director (Jeffrey Hanson Memorial Award)
National Community Service Award
Available to all member types, the National Community Service Awards program honors the generous and creative community service projects planned and carried to fruition by NUCA member companies throughout the year.
William H. Feather Safety Awards
Created to honor the contributions of the founding chairman of NUCA’s Safety Committee,William H. Feather, and to recognize the same commitment to safety demonstrated by other NUCA members.
Ditchdigger of the Year
Presented annually at NUCA’s Convention to a contractor member who has made a significant contribution to NUCA and the underground utility construction and excavation industry.
Associate Member of the Year
Presented annually at NUCA’s Convention to an associate member who has made a significant contribution to NUCA and the underground utility construction and excavation industry.
We Dig America Award
This award is presented to a non-NUCA member who has made a significant contribution to NUCA and the underground utility construction and excavation industry. The achievement must have national impact and the recipient must have national stature.
Created to honor those NUCA chapters whose contributions to NUCA/PAC are exceptional in three different categories: Leadership, Teamwork, and Stewardship.
Presented to the Chapter with the most President’s club Members for the year.
Presented to the Chapter with the highest dollar amount contributed per utility contractor member.
Presented to the NUCA chapter(s) with NUCA/PAC Club contributions of at least $10,000.
This individual Patron’s Award is given to a member whose total lifetime contributions to the NUCA/PAC has reached the $10,000 mark.
