“Establishing and maintaining a strong safety culture in our industry is critically important in both good times and bad,” said NUCA Safety Ambassador’s Club Chairman Greg Strudwick. For more than 20 years, the Safety Ambassadors Club (SAC) has helped NUCA improve safety on utility and excavation construction jobsites by initiating and funding programs and projects that benefit not only our industry’s workers and companies, but also the communities they serve. These programs/projects include: highly respected safety training programs and materials; toolbox talks (most available in both English and Spanish); bi-monthly safety newsletters; active presence with OSHA in the form of oral/written comments on new or revised standards and participation on the OSHA Advisory Committee and various work groups; provision of assistance to the NUCA Foundation for Education and Research’s programs; member consultation with a Certified Safety Professional consultant; and an annual Safety Directors Forum where members and/or their safety directors can get together for industry-specific educational sessions and networking.
SAC Chairman highlights key reasons to join SAC in this letter.
