Member Awards of Excellence

The awards honor outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions on the national level to the industry and/or association. 

 

AWARD CATEGORIES & CRITERIA
The DITCHDIGGER OF THE YEAR Award is presented annually to a contractor member or employee of a member who has made a significant contribution on the national level to the industry and/or association. Awarded during the Annual Convention & Exhibits in March 2024.


The ASSOCIATE MEMBER OF THE YEAR Award is presented annually to an associate member company or employee of the company who has made a significant contribution on the national level to the industry and/or association. Awarded during the Annual Convention & Exhibits in March 2024.

Awarded during the May 2024 Washington Summit. 
The WE DIG AMERICA Award is presented annually to a non-member who has made a significant contribution on the national level to the industry and/or association. The achievement must have national impact and/or the recipient must have national stature.

1. Any NUCA member in good standing may nominate an individual for any or all of the awards.

2. The nominations shall be submitted online using the online submission form. Incomplete, or non-responsive submissions will not be considered by the Awards Committee.

3. A candidate may be nominated by more than one member, but the selection of award recipients is based solely on contributions to the industry, not on the number of nominations received.

4. Only the award recipients will be honored. There will be no honorable mentions or other acknowledgment of award nominees. The identity of nominees shall remain confidential.

The Awards Committee will select the winners. Any members of the committee nominated for an award will be excused from judging. If no one is nominated, no one will receive the award.
